The Pregnancy Program, explained

Because being pregnant should be the most beautiful time in your life, not the most stressful.

What is the pregnancy program?

It’s a program that covers the entirety of your pregnancy to post-birth. So, trimester 1, trimester 2, trimester 3, and post-partum. You and I will get on a call 2 times each month and answer all of your pregnancy related questions. Each call will be 45 minutes to 1 hour, done virtually, from the comfort of your couch or bed or office, on a secure HIPAA compliant platform.

Why did we create the Pregnancy Program?

As an OB/GYN, I felt disconnected from some of my pregnant patients. I would see them for 5 minutes every few weeks. Even if I wanted to spend more time with them, I couldn’t. I wanted to really get to know my patients and take the time to share with them all the information they need, without them having to read 100 books or blogs or read all the false medical information out there about your pregnancy (you know, the stuff that keeps you up at night).

Who am I on the video conference with?

You’ll only ever be on a video conference with me, Dr. Makunda Mbacke. And if you want your husband or your partner to join, they are welcome!

What if I’m in my second trimester when I start this program?

That’s perfectly ok. It’s customized to where you are in your pregnancy. We’ll play catch up to make sure you’ve covered everything for trimester 1 and then we’ll get right into trimester 2.

So are you my primary OB/GYN?

So are you my primary OB/GYN?
No. You still have a primary OB/GYN. But where I come in is to provide the support and information your doctor doesn’t have time to give to you. I am here to answer your specific questions, you know, those burning questions that keep you up at night – that’s where I come in.
